The traditional cologne is bright and short-lived. Atelier Cologne, founded in Paris in 2009, set out to keep the citrus character but give it real persistence, using a high concentration it branded Cologne Absolue.
Orange Sanguine and Clémentine California are the clearest expressions of the idea. The house was acquired by L'Oréal in 2016.
